Clippers officially waive Carlos Delfino, Miroslav Raduljica

The Los Angeles Clippers announced on Friday that they have waived swingman Carlos Delfino and center Miroslav Raduljica. Both were acquired earlier this week from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Jared Dudley and a first-round pick.

Los Angeles used the stretch provision on them, meaning that their remaining salaries will be spread out over the next five years. This means the Clippers are $3.5 million under the hard cap, per Dan Woike of the Orange County Register.

As a result of using the mid-level exception on Spencer Hawes this summer, Los Angeles can only dole out minimum salaries to free agents. The Clippers reportedly have interest in Ekpe Udoh, Chris Douglas-Roberts and Hedo Turkoglu.

Delfino missed the entire 2013-2014 season recovering from right foot surgery, and is reportedly not totally healthy yet. He was productive for Houston two years ago, though, and if he gets back to full strength he could help a contender.

Raduljica is fine; the Clippers just decided they could do better than him in free agency. The 26-year-old role player is coming off his first year in the NBA, and he'll be playing for Serbia in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, which begins tomorrow.
