Chiefs cut Dunta Robinson

The Kansas Cty Chiefs have released veteran cornerback Dunta Robinson one season into a three-year, $13.7 million contract.

It creates $3 million in savings against the salary cap.

The 31-year-old only started two of eight games played last season. He had 13 tackles, four pass deflections and one fumble recovery.

Robinson is an unrestricted free agent.

Robinson has previous stints wtih the Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons.

For his career, the former Texans first-round pick has 593 tackles, 17 interceptions, one touchdown and 91 pass deflections.

Robinson played collegiately at South Carolina.
