Buccaneers Crushed by Falcons, 56-14
The Buccaneers gave up scoring plays of 40 yards, 78 yards, 89 yards, and 94 yards and were dismantled by the Falcons, 56-14, at Georgia Dome.
Mike Glennon completed 17 of 24 passes for 121 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Matt Ryan was more productive for the Falcons, and finished 21 for 24 with 286 yards passing, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Bobby Rainey ran for 41 yards on 11 carries in addition to seven receptions for 64 yards with two fumbles. Brandon Myers was the most productive receiving, with only five passes for 33 yards.
The Tampa Bay defense collapsed, giving up 350 yards passing and 144 rushing while taking back one interception for a touchdown. They got to Ryan once for a sack.
Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones was impressive, racking up 161 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The Buccaneers head to Pittsburgh next week to face the Steelers (1-1) while the Falcons go to to play the Vikings (1-1).
