Brooklyn Beckham broke his collar bone snowboarding, but he handled it like a champ

Being a celebrity kid entitles you to some pretty sweet perks, but even star status can’t save you from certain mishaps. The Beckham family learned that over the weekend, when an otherwise idyllic vacation was marred by Brooklyn Beckham breaking his collar bone while snowboarding. Never fear; Brooklyn handled it with class and style, just as you’d expect from the son of Victoria and David Beckham.

Before the snowboarding incident, the vacation was the stuff that dreams are made of: the Beckhams were enjoying the snowy peaks and picturesque scenery of Canada’s Whistler slopes with their three children. It was a beautiful and fun-filled experience for the superstar couple and their three children -— at least, mostly.

Brooklyn hit the slopes, but ended up having an unpleasant mishap. He took a bad spill, resulting in breaking his collar bone. For some kids this would have been the point where hysterics and melodrama started. But Brooklyn took a more mature attitude towards his spill: he shared several photos on Instagram detailing the incident, complete with an X-Ray of his collarbone.

Brooklyn wasn’t alone in making light of what was no doubt an unpleasant experience: David Beckham shared an assortment of photos outlining the whole trip, but couldn’t resist teasing his son about his fall. The soccer superstar shared a post of Brooklyn apparently taken right before the incident, calling him a “brave boy,” before correcting himself and referring to his son as a man.

We’re glad that Brooklyn is all right, and that the family was able to handle the accident with such good humor. Even with this injury, this skiing trips is giving us serious vacation envy.
