Broncos WR Welker has concussion

Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker sustained a concussion during Sunday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the team announced Monday.

Welker took a hit during a 20-yard reception in the fourth quarter. He stayed in the game for one more catch on the drive before exiting.

Due to NFL concussion protocol, Welker will be limited in practice at least until Friday, even if he passes a baseline test Monday.

Denver visits Welker's former team, the New England Patriots, next Sunday night.

Welker made eight catches for 74 yards in the win over the Chiefs.
