Broncos CB Bailey set to play

Denver Broncos veteran cornerback Champ Bailey will make his season debut Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Bailey has been out since injuring his left foot during the Aug. 17 preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. He practiced fully this week for the first time since the injury.

"He's all set," Broncos coach John Fox said after Friday's practice. "We're excited to have Champ back. He's had an outstanding week."

Having Bailey back should give the Broncos defense a boost. Denver allowed 506 passing yards to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo but still won 51-48. Jacksonville, a 27-point underdog, is 28th in the NFL in passing.

Cornerback Chris Harris practiced Friday and is on track to play despite sustaining a concussion against Dallas.

However, middle linebacker Wesley Woodyard (neck) and defensive end Robert Ayers (shoulder) are doubtful and did not practice Friday.
