Blues place Halak on injured reserve

St. Louis Blues goalie Jaroslav Halak was placed on injured reserve on Sunday because of a groin injury, and the team will call up Jake Allen from AHL Peoria.

Halak is expected to miss at least two games, and Brian Elliott will be the Blues goalie in those games, according to NHL.com.

Halak apparently was injured on Henrik Zetterberg's breakaway goal at the end of the Blues' 5-3 loss on Friday.

Halak has a 2.10 goals-against average in five games and has a 3-0 record.
