Bengals place G Boling on IR, re-sign T Roland

The Cincinnati Bengals placed guard Clint Boling on season-ending injured reserve because of a torn ACL and filled the roster spot by re-signing offensive tackle Dennis Roland, the team announced Tuesday.

Boling, who had started all 12 games this year and 28 straight at left guard since the beginning of the 2012 season, was hurt in the first quarter during last Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers.

Roland was with the team from 2008 through the end of preseason this year and then was brought back for the first three weeks of this season before getting released again on Sept. 25.
