Arizona Rattlers 56, Chicago Rush 49

The Chicago Rush nearly wiped out a 21-point, second-half deficit, but the Arizona Rattlers held on for a 56-49 Arena Football League win Sunday in Chicago.

Luke Drone threw three touchdown passes from late in the third quarter until late in the fourth, and the Rush pulled within seven points when he hooked up with Reggie Gray for a 32-yard score with 2:29 remaining.

The Rush (4-5) recovered the ensuing kickoff and had a chance to tie the game, but the Rattlers' defense held on downs. Arizona (8-1) regained possession in the final minute and ran out the clock.

Drone completed 14 of 34 passes for six touchdowns and 261 yards. He was intercepted once. Gray made eight receptions for 194 yards and four touchdowns. Rodney Wright added two touchdown grabs among his four catches.

Rattlers quarterback Nick Davila finished 18-for-31 for 301 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions. Arizona's Rod Windsor had 10 catches for 186 yards and three touchdowns.

Arizona led 35-21 at halftime with Davila having thrown five TD passes, two to Jared Perry, his only two catches of the game.

Wright returned a kickoff 57 yards for a first-quarter touchdown.

Chicago, which has lost three in a row since an overtime win against Iowa, plays Saturday at New Orleans.

Arizona, riding a five-game winning streak, plays host to Iowa on Saturday.
