Angels pick up reliever Lowe

Right-hander Mark Lowe has agreed to a minor-league deal with the Angels.

Lowe, who was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier in the week, will join the Angels' major-league camp with a chance to make the roster, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

Injuries have plagued Lowe, 29, during his career. Last season, he pitched in 36 games for the Texas Rangers and went 0-2 with a 3.43 ERA. The middle reliever has a 7-20 career record with five saves and a 3.98 ERA in 253 appearances.
