Aaron Hernandez: 'I felt helpless' with police occupation of house

Aaron Hernandez is currently incarcerated as he awaits his day in court for three alleged murders, and aside from some private letters to fans, we haven't heard much from the former Patriots star.

But as his attorneys have claimed, via the Boston Globe, the police interrogation of Hernandez at his home soon after the death of Odin Lloyd may have been illegal. Hernandez said in a newly-released court document that he felt "helpless" while police talked to him.

“I felt helpless in the face of the occupation of my house by the police,” Hernandez said in a sworn statement, via the Globe. “I was also very concerned about what would happen to my fiancée and our baby if I refused to answer their questions. I did not feel free to leave at any time during the search.”

Hernandez's attorneys also are looking to supress the evidence taken from his SUV because the warrant didn't establish probable cause.

Police arrived at Hernandez's home on June 18, 2013, and police said that when they told Hernandez they were investigating a death, he slammed the door and locked it. Hernandez also apparently was "argumentative" with police as they questioned him.

About a week later, police arrived at Hernandez's home and took him into custody.

Here's what police found inside Hernandez's home on their initial search.
