MILWAUKEE -- Tommy Milone was dominant over seven innings, and the Oakland offense sprang to life as the Athletics rolled to a 10-2 victory over the Brewers on Monday night at Miller Park.
Milone (6-5) allowed five hits and two runs while striking out five, and he won for the third time in four starts (including a no-decision).
Oakland's offense pounded out a season-high-tying 18 hits against four Brewers pitchers. The A's put the game away with a six-run fifth inning.
Coco Crisp led the way, going 4-for-5 with a walk, one of seven Athletics to finish with at least two hits.
Even Milone got into the act, becoming the first A's pitcher to have a multi-hit game since Edgar Gonzalez in June 2009. Crisp and Milone each scored two runs.
Crisp gave Oakland a 1-0 lead on the second pitch of the game, driving an 0-1 fastball over the right field wall for his sixth home run of the season. Brandon Moss hit his eighth of the year in the second to make it 2-0.
John Jaso and Yoenis Cespedes opened the fifth inning with back-to-back singles, and Jed Lowrie doubled off the wall in right-center.
Lowrie's hit ended Marco Estrada's day, as the Milwaukee right-hander left the field after being examined by the team's trainer. The Brewers later announced he strained his left hamstring.
Burke Badenhop came on in relief and allowed another run to score on a base hit by Donaldson, who made the inning's first out when he was caught trying to steal second.
Josh Redick made it 5-0 with a single into right, closing the book on Estrada (4-4), who was charged with five runs on nine hits in four-plus innings.
The A's weren't done, though, pushing the advantage to 6-0 on Milone's single to center. Crisp walked, loading the bases, and Jaso collected his second hit of the inning, which scored another.
Badenhop finally ended the inning by striking out Cespedes.
The Brewers' only damage off Milone came from Rickie Weeks, who hit a two-run homer in the fifth and nearly had another in the seventh when he bounced one off the wall in left field. Umpires, however, ruled it a ground-rule double after a review.

The Brewers also traded minor league pitcher Tom Keeling to Atlanta for 3B Juan Francisco and released INF Alex Gonzalez. ... This was the Athletics' first-ever visit to Milwaukee's Miller Park and first road series against the Brewers since 1997. ...
