Spurs strengthen bench with Ratliff

Hoping to add a shot-blocker to their bench, the San Antonio Spurs have agreed to a one-year deal for the veterans' minimum with center Theo Ratliff(notes), a league executive told Yahoo! Sports Thursday.

After adding Richard Jefferson(notes), Antonio McDyess(notes) and DeJuan Blair(notes) this summer, Ratliff appears to be the final piece of a revamped Spurs roster.

Ratliff, 36, played 46 games for Philadelphia a season ago. He’s averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 blocks a game for his career.
