Thank you, The Commission! This is exactly the type of stuff I want to watch on a lazy Friday afternoon while eating nuked leftovers. Can you imagine the length of suspensions the league would hand out if this happened in today's NBA? Bill Laimbeer would be dragged out back behind David Stern's shed and shot. If this had happened a few years later Rodman would no doubt have kicked Bird in the head when they were down. He hadn't evolved into his crazy true self yet.
They didn't shoot free throws becuase all this happened after the shot clock had expired - you can hear the announcers say that at one point.
