Belleville Senators open Round 2 of AHL playoffs with victory over Cleveland

The Belleville Senators took care of business Wednesday night, but it wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination. The Senators opened their Round 2 best-of-five series of the American Hockey League's Calder Cup playoffs with a 2-1 victory over the Cleveland Monsters at the CAA Arena. Led by goals from Egor Sokolov and Angus Crookshank, along with a strong effort from goaltender Mads Sogaard, the Senators started this series on the right foot, but had to survive a third-period push from the Monsters as Belleville clung to a one-goal lead.
