Louis Vuitton punching bag reportedly costs $175,000 (*but it comes with other cool stuff)

At least you'll have something to take out your aggressions upon receipt of your bank statement. According to the New York Times Style Magazine, Louis Vuitton is offering a Karl Lagerfeld-designed punching bag (that also comes with a trunk, stand, mat, suitcase and set of boxing gloves) for $175,000. Here's a description of the outrageously priced athletic/fashion accessory from the French fashion house's website:

Karl Lagerfeld possesses an unerring knack for capturing the air du temps and distilling it into objects of desire. In celebration of Vuitton’s iconic Monogram canvas, the master imagined an extravagant set of luggage and accessories for devotees of the "sweet science." His Boxing Trunk is fitted with a signature punching bag and stand, while a separate suitcase, also in Monogram, holds boxing gloves and a mat. With its capacious interior and removable shelving, the trunk can also serve as a chic travel closet. Heritage details – leather corners, tags, embossing – combine with vintage cowhide trim and aged brass hardware for an exceptional collector’s piece that is both timeless and of-the-moment.

The Punching Trunk is produced in a limited edition of 25.

The extravagant item is part of the company's Celebrating Monogram project which also includes a $23,000 shopping trolley (whatever that is) designed by Christian Loubotin and a sculpted handbag that fetches $4,400 created by noted architect Frank Gehry. We're not sure who the target audience is for the piece with such an extreme price tag but here's to Floyd Mayweather buying at least one.
