Ronaldinho to star in animated film, gets his name spelled wrong

Though Blackburn owners Venky's were unable to sign Ronaldinho to play for their club, they did get him involved in their production of an animated film about him saving the world from aliens with his football skills. Which is far more realistic than saving the world from aliens with cups of water and a baseball bat as in the movie Signs.

From IndiaGlitz:

The world famous sports celebrity will be featured in the animation film titled, 'R-10', which will be produced by Bala entertainment [a division of Venky's] and Sohail Khan. In this the protagonist R-10 will use his football skill to defeat the aliens and save the world. The movie currently is in pre-production stage.

Quoted our source, "They have plan to release the film in May 2014 worldwide, the year of FIFA world cup in Brazil." Interestingly the production house is also planning to rope famous musicians and rock bands from Hollywood for the feature soundtrack in the film.

Ronaldinho traveled to India for the announcement of the film and in true Venky's fashion, his nameplate at the ensuing press conference identified him as "Mr Ronaldiniho." It was a typo that makes his name sound like that of a magician, so it wasn't entirely inappropriate.
