Jose Mourinho abruptly ends interview at the mention of upcoming Liverpool game

A 1-1 draw with Maribor in which Eden Hazard missed a penalty and Diego Costa had a goal disallowed left Jose Mourinho in a bad mood and he made this abundantly clear in his post-match interview. First, he said how unhappy he was with his team and then he mentioned his "long story" with referee Daniele Orsato, who sent Mourinho off twice during his two-year spell in Italy as manager of Inter.

After Mourinho praised Maribor's defending, the interviewer asked if this performance made Chelsea's Premier League match against Liverpool on Saturday harder and the Chelsea boss walked out on him, refusing to answer. This can be seen at the end of the video above.

A day earlier, he said that he wouldn't have rested players against a difficult opponent as Liverpool did against Real Madrid, adding, “If one day I go to a game and I don’t feel I can win, maybe I don’t go." So with a few days to go until the Liverpool match, he has to pace himself with the mind games. Otherwise he might get a jaw cramp.
