Ecuadorian U16 winger evades nine tackles to score incredible solo goal

Here's a name to look out for in the future: Fabian Tello.

Ecuador and Paraguay's under-16 sides faced each other in the 2014 South American Games in Santiago on Monday, with the Ecuadorians running out 3-0 winners.

One of the goals came from an incredible piece of skill from 16-year-old left winger Tello, who danced around seven defenders (including the goalkeeper) and evaded nine tackle before slotting the ball in the net for a stunning solo goal.

When I was his age playing football, this kind of trick was known as "ball hogging." Now, it means the Ecuadorian press compares your efforts with the Puskas Award-winning strikes from the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo. These kids with their text messaging, Pac-Man video games and Hula Hoops don't know how lucky they've got it.
