Cardiff City beat Man City, propel owner’s unique football-business combo fashions to new heights

Newly promoted Cardiff City beat Manchester City 3-2 in the biggest upset thus far in the young Premier League season. As special of a moment as this was for the Welsh club, the biggest impact this occasion could have just might come in the world of fashion.

Since buying a controlling interest in the club in 2010, Malaysian businessman Vincent Tan has controversially changed the color of the Bluebirds' home kit to red while bringing them back to the top flight for the first time in 51 years. And in doing so, his unusual replica shirt-business attire fusion style has gained prominence that just might spark a new era of terrace fashion.

With his Cardiff shirt over his white-collared shirt and tie and then all tucked into a pair of pants pulled up to his sternum, Tan watched his side beat Man City from behind a pair of "deal with it" sunglasses. But Tan has displayed several variations of his signature look. Here are a few examples...

And when it gets cold out, it all gets wrapped up in a long red coat.

While you might laugh at his swag, Vincent Tan is getting results.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley might want to start dressing this way as soon as he can find a tie that doesn't match a Newcastle home shirt.
