Real Madrid resumed their season on Monday and it seemed the holiday break left them a little rusty. They were unable to score against relegation threatened Celta Vigo in the first hour of play, so Gareth Bale was brought on for the underperforming Angel Di Maria in the 65th minute.
As Di Maria jogged off the pitch, the home crowd jeered his performance — something he should probably be used to by now. But he responded by casually grabbing his crotch just before he reached Bale on the touchline. This probably will not convince the fans to jeer him any less.
The addition of Bale proved to be the necessary spark for Real Madrid, though. Karim Benzema opened the scoring just two minutes later and Cristiano Ronaldo then added two more, including his 400th career goal, to give Real Madrid a 3-0 win.
At this point, it might be best if Di Maria claims his junk adjustment was prompted by an STD.
