Back spasms sideline Magic’s Hedo Turkoglu

Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu didn't even make it on the court Wednesday night when his team took on the San Antonio Spurs due to back spasms, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The spasms had started after Turkoglu "twisted his back going for a rebound late in Tuesday's win over the Charlotte Bobcats," the paper notes.

"They had him in for treatments all day," coach Stan Van Gundy said, according to the Sentinel. "He's a little bit better but not enough to go."

Also missing was Jason Richardson, who now has missed three in a row due to a bone bruise on his left knee. "I really want to be out there, but they didn't want me to aggravate it and go back to Step One," Richardson said, the Sentinel reports.

Turkoglu is averaging 14.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game while Richardson is contributing 11.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2 assists per game.
