As far as high school days go, it doesn't get much better than Will Latcham's Thursday afternoon.

The Springfield (Pa.) Carinal O'Hara High right-hander struck out 14 in a complete-game victory on the mound, drilled a 400-foot home in the 9-4 victory against rival Philadelphia Roman Catholic and — to top it all off — received a prom proposal from the fan section, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

After belting a three-run homer that broke the game open in the fourth and throwing 127 pitches, the Kutztown University baseball commit joined his teammates in a huddle around O'Hara coach John Grossi, per the Daily News. As the huddle broke, a handful of admirers held up five signs that read: "P-R-O-M-?"

Latcham accepted the prom proposal from classmate Aubrey Anderson, who held the question mark.

"I was shocked," Latcham told Philly.com. "She asked me. That's the surprising part. I had a plan to ask her, but she beat me to it, I guess!"

Some guys have all the luck.
