Remarkable Swag: A boatload of Olympic memorabilia

Does Remarkable Swag sound familiar? It should. It's Fourth-Place Medal's remix of Ball Don't Lie's Phenomenal Swag. See anything noteworthy? Let us know.

It didn't work out too well for Canada, but if you play your cards right, after the Olympics you can "own the podium." Like really own it. It'll be for sale on eBay.

For the first time in the history of the Olympics, medal podiums, ski gates, ski bibs, and other memorabilia that was actually used in the Games will be widely available for purchase. A lot of the items are available now, but it appears Gameday Auctions is waiting to put the podiums up for sale. I guess they're still using those.

There is a crazy amount of stuff listed. Everything from a program signed by Lyndon Rush to a puck signed by Roberto Luongo, that I'm guessing isn't from the United States vs. Canada game. You can even get a Ross Rebagliati competition bib, which would make for a pretty obscure Halloween costume.

It's going to be worth it to check back on this auction next week. According to VANOC licensing and merchandising director Dennis Kim, even more big ticket items will be available, such as the torch Wayne Gretzky used to light the cauldron, and the opening puck from the men's hockey final. That's cool.

And while Kim "[doesn't] think maybe one person is going to be able to put [a podium] in their rec-room in their basement," I'm hoping someone proves him wrong.
