Pussy Riot releases new anti-Putin music video containing footage of members being whipped in the Olympic Village
The Russian punk-protest group Pussy Riot released a music video Tuesday evening featuring scenes from the altercation the band had with Cossacks, a roving security force, earlier in the day.
The video, which is titled “Putin will teach you how to love,” features members of the band in their signature ski masks being whipped by security forces in Sochi Olympic Park. It also shows the band performing at night in front of the Olympic rings and generally doing its best to disrupt the Games.

The controversial band is known for its stance against Russian President Vladimir Putin and his social policies. Two members were jailed for nearly two years after being arrested during an anti-Putin concert.
One member of the group told Yahoo Sports in July that the band’s goal was to make sure their protests were memorable.
Russian officials will not be happy to see that the band used part of the Olympic Village as a place to stage and subsequently video their protest. But the band is doing its best to get its point across.
