Georgia may have pulled out of Olympics

The Russian newspaper Pravda is reporting that the Georgian delegation is pulling out of the Olympics as a sign of protest to the violence that has erupted between Georgia and Russia. Some Georgian athletes have stated their intent to join with the armed forces. This will have a big effect on wrestling, where Ramaz Nozadze, Omar Tushishvilli and David Bedinandze were heavily favored to win gold, and Revaz Mindorashvilli and George Gogshelidze were also expected to medal. Georgia also has a strong team in judo with Nestor Khergiani and David Kevkishvilli expected to medal.
