Jonas Hiller’s Stadium Series gear is very, very orange (Photos)

When the Anaheim Ducks unveiled the Stadium Series jersey which they will wear Saturday night versus the Los Angeles Kings, two thoughts came to mind. The first was "Why the f$%& they didn't resurrect the Mighty Ducks look?" The second: "Ooh boy that's a lot of orange. A whole lot."

Since Hiller's awesome Mighty Ducks mask will have to stay in the closet, he, like every other goalie, wanted to do something special for this outdoor game. Hiller decided to go the matching route for his mask, and he wanted orange. Tons of it. ALL THE ORANGE.

From Swiss mask designers Airxess:

Since a long time Jonas and Alec wanted to make a brigth [sic] orange mask.

For such events it's essentially to create a design that really pops out.

As always it's not that easy to creat [sic] something new. But Alec had again the idea: take appart [sic] the Stadium logo and place the single pieces all over the mask, integrate the nice Ducks logos in mirror gold, and you have a very sporty mask!

Said Hiller to the Ducks' website: "There isn’t too much on the mask. Sometimes guys put so much on a mask that you can’t really tell what it is. It definitely stands out, especially with the flat orange and the shiny Ducks logo. I think you can tell from quite far away what it looks like. It doesn’t have too many things on it, but I think it has everything you need, and I like it a lot."

Meanwhile, via The Royal Half, the rest of Hiller's gear completes the orange ensemble:

Coupled with the orange-heavy Ducks jersey, Hiller might resemble a pylon, The Annoying Orange, an Oompa Loompa or a rejected Jersey Shore cast member.
