Jagr scores 731st NHL goal to tie Dionne for fourth all-time (Video)

Florida Panthers forward Jaromir Jagr continued his march up the NHL record books on Thursday with his 731st goal of his career. The score tied Jagr with Marcel Dionne for fourth all-time in NHL history. Jagr had been sitting on 730 goals for his previous eight games.

Above is the video of the score – a deflection by Jagr off a Dmitry Kulikov slap shot past Washington Capitals goaltender Philipp Grubauer.

Jagr came into the contest with eight goals and 20 points in 26 games this season. He turns 44 on Feb. 15 of next year.

The forward probably would have higher totals if he didn’t spend three years in the Kontinental Hockey League from 2008-09 through 2010-11. The year before Jagr left he had 71 points in 82 games for the New York Rangers.

Since his return he’s picked up 223 points in 303 games. Most of those numbers have come with Jagr over the age of 40.

Brett Hull ranks third in NHL history with 741 goals. Next would be Gordie Howe at 801 scores. Wayne Gretzky is the league's all-time leader with 894 goals.
