Hamburglar strikes again in dramatic Ottawa victory over Boston
It’s raining hamburgers at the Canadian Tire Centre.
The Ottawa Senators defeated the Boston Bruins 6-4 to come within two points of the Bs of the playoffs with one game in hand on Boston. Oh, and that Andrew ‘Hamburglar’ Hammond guy won again. So what better way to celebrate then by tossing ground beef patties between two buns on the ice.

It was indeed a big win for Ottawa – who is close to being removed from our Tank Watch.
With the score tied at 4-4 in the third period, Bobby Ryan put Ottawa up at the 11:28 mark.
Then Kyle Turris finished the job with an empty netter to put it at 6-4. Hammond? He stopped 31 of 35 Boston shots on goal and has yet to lose in regulation this year, going 12-0-1 for the Sens who have lost just twice in March.

In the biggest game of his career, the Hamburglar was nowhere to be seen.
Andrew (Hamburglar) Hammond had a skate malfunction that saw him miss the opening anthems and had Sens faithful wondering if he was really just a nice dream.
But as soon as the arena’s lights came on, the phenom netminder sprinted onto the ice to 19,270 screaming fans at the Canadian Tire Centre.
“The crowd was so electric it was kind of hard to settle in right away when you’re kind of flustered,” Hammond said after a 6-4 victory over the Boston Bruins Thursday night.
OK, a phenom at age 27 he is not. But he's on one heck of a hot streak.
And for the Bruins? Connor McBrui … oh whatever, they’re still currently in the playoffs. But that's now three losses in a row for Boston. It's getting a little cozy in the Atlantic/Eastern Conference Wild Card playoff race.
