Nick Saban finished fifth in Alabama's voting for student government president

The losses just keep on coming for Nick Saban.

After closing the year with two straight losses and seeing the 10-second defensive substitution proposal pulled from consideration before it even went to a vote, Saban finished fifth in Alabama's voting for student government president.

OK, so maybe this one was unavoidable. And doesn't count, because the Alabama football coach was ineligible to be on the ballot. It was also a distant fifth place too. Saban received seven votes while winner Hamilton Bloom had over 6,300.

Also receiving votes were Alabama football players Amari Cooper, Derrick Henry and Landon Collins. They each got a vote apiece. Somewhat stunningly, AJ McCarron didn't receive a vote and neither did Katherine Webb. Are Alabama students over them?

Saban finished four votes ahead of "a potted plant" (plant type unspecified), which came in fourth. Also receiving votes were Barack Obama, Herman Cain, Julius Caesar and Lil Boosie. We're guessing the person who voted for Boosie wants his or her vote back or isn't a football fan.
