Nick Saban claims ignorance about AJ McCarron’s SI cover (Video)

You really think Nick Saban is telling the truth?

The Alabama coach professed ignorance about quarterback AJ McCarron's appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week. Yes, a magazine cover for an Alabama quarterback isn't the most mountainous of stories, but said that he didn't know what the reporter who asked him the question was talking about.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Saban says he doesn't consume much media except for watching the Weather Channel while he's having his morning cup of coffee.

And of course Saban knew about McCarron's cover appearance. A big story like that doesn't go unnoticed by the head coach, especially Nick Saban of all people. It just does not happen.

Sure, he may not want his team and quarterback getting a bunch of media attention, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know about it. Maybe it's a public Costanza move. If you say you don't know, it didn't happen, right?
