An 8-year-old with cancer runs for a touchdown in East Carolina’s spring game
Noah Roberts is 8 years old, and he's battling cancer. He was scheduled to go back to the hospital this past Sunday, but the day before East Carolina had him as a special guest to its spring game.
And on the last play, like Nebraska did with 7-year-old cancer survivor Jack Hoffman, East Carolina gave Roberts the ball and he ran for a touchdown.
"If you didn't have goosebumps or a tear in your eye, you may want to check your pulse," ECU offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley said.
Amen.

According to WNCT and the information on the YouTube video by ECU, Roberts was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis in 2010. It's a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow along the nerves.
He is a ECU fan and has been around the team for a while. You can tell from the video, with defenders diving after him as he scored and the team lifting him up in the end zone and chanting his name how much they cherished giving a little boy a reason to smile. Of course, Roberts seemed to like it too.
"It was fun," Roberts said to WCTI NewsChannel 12.
