Tom Izzo dons shades and dances in new ladder commercial
Michigan State coach Tom Izzo has his team in position for another NCAA tournament next month and he hopes to climb a ladder to cut down a net.
He got a little practice with the ladder in a new commercial for Werner Ladders in which he climbs the rungs, dons a pair of shades for no clear reason and begins to boogie demonstrating the spacious platform the ladder offers.
At the start of the commercial, Izzo says he has used Werner Ladders in the past to cut down the nets. We found visual evidence from the 2009 Midwest Regional final in Indianapolis in the photo above. (Watch the commercial in the video below).
The 18th-ranked Spartans are back in action on Saturday when they play host to Illinois. Izzo's team needs to get on a roll to get him back up on a ladder in the coming weeks. The Spartans haven't won consecutive games since mid-January.
