Rondae Hollis-Jefferson dunks on college hoops' tallest player

Yahoo Sports will chronicle the best dunks of the 2014-15 college basketball season. If you spot one we miss, let us know here or here.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson called his shot. Hours after telling teammates he was going to dunk on college basketball's tallest player, he did exactly that Wednesday night. The Arizona wing received a pass in the lane from teammate Stanley Johnson, caught Mamadou Ndiaye a step slow rotating over and punished the mammoth 7-foot-6 UC Irvine center with a powerful left-handed slam. “He told us at some point in the game he was going to dunk on him," Arizona guard Gabe York told the Arizona Daily Star. "I always get hyped for situations like that. That was definitely a big-time play." Though the dunk was the highlight of Arizona's 71-54 victory, it was far from Hollis-Jefferson's only contribution. He had 19 points on 4 of 7 shooting from the field and 11 of 13 from the foul line. He also continues to draw praise from Arizona coach Sean Miller for agreeing to come off the bench even though he may be the Wildcats' best player. Miller is hesitant to start both Johnson and Hollis-Jefferson because he feels he needs a shooter on the floor.
