Louisville's Peyton Siva unleashes a 360 dunk on Gardner-Webb
Attempting a 360 dunk in a game is often a good way to get benched, but Louisville's Peyton Siva found the ideal time to try to pull it off.
With the Cardinals safely ahead of Gardner-Webb by 28 points late in the second half on Saturday afternoon, Siva picked up a loose ball at mid-court and found himself with nothing but open space between he and the rim. The 5-foot-11 guard decided to play to the crowd, throwing down a one-handed 360 dunk nice enough to land him at No. 6 on SportsCenter's top plays that night.
The dunk is a rare exclamation point in what's otherwise been a very solid, steady sophomore season from Siva. The Seattle native hasn't enjoyed a breakout game since entering the starting lineup, but he's averaged 10.4 points and 4.4 assists while shooting 50.8 percent from the field.
It's impressive that Siva has that kind of explosiveness at his height, but his 360 dunk wasn't the best in a game so far this season. That honor belongs to Arizona forward Derrick Williams, who did a two-handed 360 in transition against Bethune Cookman last month in order to avoid a defender attempting to block his shot.
Williams has four or five dunks already this season worthy of recognition, including a nice alley-oop from Momo Jones during Sunday's victory over NC State. That 360, however, was one of his best.
