SportsDash: Rivals’ No. 1 recruit Da’Shawn Hand chooses Alabama

Rivals.com rated defensive end Da'Shawn Hand as their top prospect in this year's recruiting class. The five-star lineman, who totaled 37 sacks over his sophomore and junior seasons, had narrowed his decision down to three schools before his announcement: Alabama, Florida and Michigan.

On his 18th birthday, in front of a crowd of media, family and classmates, Hand announced that he will be attending the University of Alabama.
