Shaughnessy: Manning still seen as better than Brady outside NE

A couple weeks ago, Dan Shaughnessy said the Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning rivalry is only alive in New England, because the rest of the country believes Manning is the superior quarterback.

Brady won the latest chapter of the Brady vs. Manning rivalry.

Will the victory change anyone's mind?

"Around the country, it's still Manning," said Shaughnessy. "The body of work is still there, a little diminished by what we saw. The great part of this is that history is not over yet. It hasn't been written, there's still more to go."

Chris Gasper believes people around the country lean to Manning because they focus on the numbers.

"Unless you've seen Tom Brady play for 14, 15 seasons on a week to week basis, I think it's harder to appreciate his greatness opposed to Manning," said Gasper. "A lot of people just look at the numbers and say, 'look at this guy's numbers vs. that guys.'"
