Position statement: Questions about Te’o's sexuality remain a concern

As NFL teams interview Manti Te’o, the elephant in the room continues to be Te’o’s sexuality. While it shouldn’t matter, it’s still unclear how a gay player would be accepted in an NFL locker room. Teams know they can’t ask the question, and it really shouldn’t affect Te’o place in the draft. For what he can do on the field, he should be taken in the first round.
