Minihane: ‘Bill Belichick hates Wes Welker’

There's one topic that's on everyone's mind in the wake of the Patriots' loss to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game: Wes Welker's hit on Aqib Talib. It was so far up the list of things to discuss for Bill Belichick that he took it on in his opening remarks during his Monday press conference.

The comments were so uncharacteristic of the normally tight-lipped head coach - and the play in question was so apparently pedestrian - that many have been left searching for Belichick's motivation for the statement. WEEI's Kirk Minihane joined Gary Tanguay on CSNNE's Early Edition to say that the motivation is simple: Bill Belichick hates Wes Welker.
