Mad Dash: Jon Lester takes down trolls on Twitter

Jon Lester is no stranger to addressing fans on Twitter, but at a particularly trying moment in his career, he decided to engage fans and foes alike, and yet again we're amazed at how well he handled every interaction. Sure, there were plenty of fans showing support for the Chicago Cubs ace as he attempts to sort out his yips when throwing to first base. But there were also a few trolls ready to pounce on their chance to kick an athlete while he's down, and Lester wasn't having it, swatting each negative comment with an equally dismissive response. We always advise ignoring the trolls, but if you can handle them as well as Lester does, it doesn't get much better for those of us watching from the sideline. If Lester handles his latest hurdle anything like he handles jerks with too much time on their hands, he and the Cubs will be fine.

If you hadn't heard, Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky is pretty awesome at basketball. Turns out, he's a tremendous all-around athlete, and when golfing, plays with a 10 handicap. That's pretty amazing for a big man. One problem, though: The average club is just a bit too short for Kaminsky, as evidenced by a photo tweeted out from Callaway's research center in California. Kaminsky looks like he's playing with a child's iron, but fear not – the soon-to-be NBA player was out at the course to be fitted with custom clubs to improve an already impressive game.

Mike Trout is so good at baseball, you'd hardly believe he has time for anything else. However, he's apparently obsessed with the weather. An extremely observant Reddit user noticed that Trout follows dozens of weather-related Twitter accounts, and interacts with plenty of them, from innocuous comments to questions. When confronted about it on Twitter, Trout didn't shy away. He just likes the weather. So now you know.
