Young fan tells Miami Heat ‘good job, good effort,’ repeatedly (VIDEO)

The Miami Heat disappointed in their Game 5 home loss to the Boston Celtics. As the favored squad in a pivotal game, they failed to convert in crunch time and generally ended up on the wrong end of many of the game's biggest plays, even if sometimes just because of bad luck. There were even times where they failed to get back on defense or remained stagnant on offense.

Their fans presumably shouldn't have been too happy with their play. However, on their way off the court and into the locker room, one young Heat fan praised them, repeatedly yelling "Good job! Good effort!" It was so sincere and kind, in fact, that it almost seemed like a joke. Could anyone have possibly been that happy with Miami's performance? Well, as the video above from the Yahoo! Sports Minute proves, yes, at least one fan was.

Children don't necessarily have any more perspective than older fans — when I was a kid, for instance, I took my favorite teams' losses much harder than I do now. Nevertheless, there is something refreshing in this young fan's approach in spite of its innocence. In not getting too down on his team's players, this child shows us that the result of a game only matters so much. It's the higher ideals and principles that really make the measure of a man.

Either that or, you know, this kid is a sarcastic little jerk who loves to get on the nerves of multimillionaires. That's also very possible!
