Video: Stephen Colbert talks hoops with Mike D'Antoni

There are a heck of a lot of big-name free agents out there who are going to be getting a heck of a lot of phone calls starting at 12:01 a.m. ET Wednesday night. You're probably on a one-name basis with them — LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Amar'e, Boozer, and so on and so forth. But there remains a one-named future legend who has not gotten nearly enough shine leading up to this summer's signing period — Colbert.

Thankfully, the Washington, D.C.-born comedian had a chance to sit down with Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni to really get his name out there.

If the whole LeBron to New York thing doesn't work out, I think Stephen Colbert would be a perfect choice for the Knicks. He's expensive, not that talented, and willing to sit on the bench while collecting exorbitant amounts of unearned money. He'd fit right in.
