Hurricane Sandy put Amar’e Stoudemire’s car underwater (PHOTO)

The devastation brought by Hurricane Sandy has been wide-reaching. From the most serious losses to the most minor inconveniences, the storm has changed the lives or routines of everyone in its path. The process of recovery is just getting started.

The NBA has been affected, as well. In addition to the postponement of Thursday's Barclays Center opener between the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks, players in New York City have had their share of trouble, too.

Take, for instance, Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire, whose Range Rover was put underwater by flooding in his garage. Check out the photo above via Stoudemire's Instagram.

This week hasn't been a good one for Amar'e in other ways, too — he learned that he will be out for six to eight weeks with a left knee injury. In the grand scheme of things, his car trouble is a much easier problem to fix. A salary just under $20 million helps solve a lot of life's nuisances. Knee pain, especially for a basketball player, isn't easily solved.
