The 2010 Daytona 500 celebrity cavalcade, dontcha know

Okay, so maybe it wasn't a president or Tom Cruise, but this year's Daytona 500 had its own smattering of celebs. On the musical front, Tim McGraw performed at a prerace concert, and Harry Connick Jr. was a curious choice to perform the National Anthem. Larry the Cable Guy showed up -- or maybe that was just a guy who looked like him; there were about ten thousand git'r done types there. Sarah Palin came through to press the flesh at what she called an "all-Americana" event. And former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson at long last met Jimmie Johnson, an event that could have destroyed the fabric of reality as we know it ... but fortunately didn't.
