Dominick Cruz: 'I am who I always was'

It will have been a very long time since former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz last fought when he steps into the cage September 27th against Takeya Mizugaki - About three years, actually. Despite the long lay off due to a series of serious injuries, Cruz is confident that he is back to 100 percent.

"I believe I'm me right now," he recently told Luke Thomas.

"I have no question in my mind. I believe I am who I always was. You're going to see it, September 27th. I'm going to be me. Just who you've always seen."

That said, Cruz believes his return bout will be a tough test for him. "It's a big challenge for me," he went on.

"I'm up for it and I'm excited for it...The fight itself is literally the easy part. That's the fun part for me. That's why I come out smiling. I'm loving life on that night of fighting."

Do you think that Cruz will be just as dominating as ever when he returns this fall? Let us know in the comments section.
