Zach Johnson makes the 44th hole-in-one in U.S. Open history on Sunday at Pinehurst

We are used to seeing plenty of negative things at U.S. Opens. High scores, big leads lost and even our leader putting his golf ball off the green at one point this week, but Zach Johnson gave us quite the highlight on Sunday at Pinehurst.

Playing the par-3 ninth, Johnson used a 7-iron and played it perfectly, landing it left of the pin and allowing the ball to trickle down the hill toward the hole.

The ball kept rolling and rolling, dropping in the hole like a putt for the 44th hole-in-one in the history of the U.S. Open and the first this week.

This isn't the first time we've seen Johnson hole an iron shot, but this one was special considering it's the final round of the U.S. Open on Father's Day.

Also, the celebration was great, with Johnson running over to high-five fans, and as Johnny Miller put it, "Why not, he doesn't have to putt."
