On Friday at the Web.com's Albertson's Boise Open presented by Kraft (say that five times fast), Russell Knox joined that rare club with his 12-under 59, the second one we've seen on the Web.com Tour in the last two weeks after Will Willcox did it during the final round of the Utah Championship to finish T-3.
The 59 by Knox was just the fifth ever on the Web.com, and has him atop the leaderboard in Boise.
His round started on the back nine after an opening 69 by the 28-year-old, and after a birdie on the 10th, he carded four consecutive pars before going on absolute tear at Hillcrest Country Club.
Knox played the next 11 holes 11-under, making two pars, two eagles and the rest birdies, needed just two closing pars to break 60.
Now comes the hard part for Knox. After such an incredible round it's tough for some players to get back into it, and while he is atop the leaderboard he still has two rounds to go and is just a shot up on Hunter Haas.
Still, 69-59 isn't a bad way to start out a golf tournament.
