Adrian Peterson making house calls, eight months after ACL surgery

Adrian Peterson was not only active for the Vikings' opener, but he's dominating the rushing workload, doing all the usual AP things. This guy is just eight months removed from ACL/MCL surgery, yet he's beasting against Jacksonville.

He walked into the end zone for a three-yard score in the first half, then went over the top for another short TD on Minnesota's next possession. With the third quarter in the books, Peterson has 10 carries for 48 yards, and the Vikes are threatening again. Toby Gerhart is barely a rumor (five carries, 19 yards).

Welcome back, AP. Sure wish I'd started you this week. I will not be making that mistake again, ever.
