Zach Harrison responds to Michigan player “Edge Rush U” claim

When it comes to our words, sometimes less is more. Former Ohio State defensive end, Zach Harrison, responded very simply to a question posed on the Pro Football Focus Twitter page. “No.”

The folks at PFF asked the question “Is Michigan Edge Rush U?” This was in response to former Wolverine Mike Morris being asked who would step up for Jim Harbaugh’s club in the coming season at the edge. The response from Morris was “We edge rush U”, basically saying the next crop will be as good as the previous.

As you can imagine, there was a variety of commentary on the subject, but the best answer was a one-word response from Harrison… “No.”

Yes, we understand Michigan has had the upper hand the past two seasons in The Game, and even Buckeye most fans would have to admit the Wolverines have had the better overall defense in those games. However, Harrison is right. Let’s not jump the gun here.

We cannot argue that Michigan has had some outstanding pass rushers in recent history. But let’s not forget who Ohio State has produced in recent memory as well. The Bosa brothers and Chase Young are enough to make the case for OSU by themselves. And there are plenty more to choose from.

Of course, it’s a matter of opinion and each side will make a case for its team. But at the end of the day, we all know there’s only one correct answer anyway. Go Buckeyes!
