YouTube TV to stop carrying Arizona's Family 3TV, broadcast partner of Phoenix Suns

YouTube TV subscribers are not going to be able to watch most Phoenix Suns games soon.
YouTube TV subscribers are not going to be able to watch most Phoenix Suns games soon.

The Phoenix Suns earned a lot of praise when they announced that the majority of their regular season games would be on Arizona's Family 3TV before this season, making watching Suns games more accessible to a lot of fans.

But the station isn't going to be accessible to YouTube TV subscribers.

Arizona's Family 3TV (KTVK) recently notified viewers that the channel would no longer be available to YouTube TV subscribers starting Saturday, Nov. 18.

The Suns host the Minnesota Timberwolves on the channel on Wednesday and then play at the Utah Jazz on the channel on Friday.

They are scheduled to play against the Jazz in Utah again on Sunday, which would mark the first game not available to YouTube TV subscribers.

The channel will still be available via COX, DirecTV, Dish, FUBO and via antenna.

3TV also has local news and some popular TV programs like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!

Arizona's Family 3TV 'disappointed' in YouTube TV decision

"We are disappointed that YouTube TV has come to this decision, as we have done everything in our power to reach a market-based agreement," Arizona's Family 3TV said in a story about YouTube TV not carrying its station in the future.

It continued: "At Arizona’s Family, we want every member of our community to have access to our programming, especially those who pay for a subscription service like YouTube TV, in expectation of getting access to all their valued local stations. … We cannot speak for YouTube TV as to why they are no longer going to carry our programming, but we hope our viewers will find other ways to access our programming."

YouTube TV will continue to carry Arizona's Family CBS 5 (KPHO).
